- Laravel
- React
- REST APIs
- Role-based access
01 / The problem
The problem
Chattogram Circuit House hosts government officials and other guests. Booking requests, room allocation, meals, vehicles and bills were handled by different people, mostly on paper and by phone. Staff needed one place to see which rooms are free, who is staying, what each guest has ordered and which vehicle is out, and to bill each stay correctly.
02 / My role
My role
Built at engineersTech. I designed the data model and built the Laravel API behind the React app: bookings, rooms, food, transport, billing, reports and role-based access.
03 / The solution
The solution
A Laravel API with a React web app for the Circuit House staff, plus a public booking request form. Room booking: guests submit a request online with their details, user category (government, autonomous or private), stay dates and an application form. Staff assign rooms and follow each booking from request to check-in, check-out and completion on a booking calendar. Conference rooms are booked the same way. Rooms and room rates are managed in the system. Food: a food menu, with orders recorded per guest and tracked until they are completed or cancelled. Transport: vehicles and drivers, vehicle requests, and fuel entries with a fuel report. Billing: invoices for each stay, built from the booking and the guest's orders. Users get roles and permissions, so each staff member only sees the modules they work in, and reports summarise bookings and fuel use.
04 / The result
The result
Bookings, rooms, meals, vehicles and bills are run from one system at ctgcircuithouse.com, and guests can request a room online instead of by phone or letter.
